So LINDA, as apparently was her habit, complains about this Pitney Bowes person, FRED. Apparently LINDA and company have been complaining about Pitney Bowes people (who are in the process of taking over Proskauer's wp center) for the entire nine months that Pitney has been at Proskauer.
And from the way all the freightened Pitney superviors went about kissing LINDA's ass, I'm guessing that LINDA was in the habit of complaining and that LINDA never had anything bad happen to her as a result of her complaining.
Well Lord, Oh Lord. FRED turned around and sued the shit out of Linda. Proskauer's lawyer said that the WP Staff (which did once include LINDA) was warned not to say shit about FRED to anyone under the threat of them being fired immediately (instead of them all being fired later when Pitney takes over the whole thing).
Is Linda still at Proskauer? Has Linda complained about anyone recently? |

Linda's got fired around March 2002. Wasn't Fred the NUTTY Pitney guy? Never heard about any suit from any Pitney people. Linda was a known problem employee way before Pitney came. She wrote emails to the manager at the drop of a hat about anything and everything. No one would get in trouble just because Linda complained about them. |

The pain-in-the-butt, large-sized & blue-eyed Linda was fired; the nice Linda (with the dark hair & eyes) is still there. |

See, I didn't know there WAS a nice Linda.
But it was the old dark Linda that caused the suit. Rochelle Cherry (Pitney Bowes Supervisor) wrote a memo claiming that a Pitney employee was rude to Linda, so the employee sued Proskauer (Linda's employer).
This is an example of what you can do when someone trys to play that "we won't pay you game" when you quit a job. Pitney Bowes tried to take that we won't pay you route with FRED who quit. So FRED just sued Proskauer based on Rochelle Cherry using Linda's name in her memo, FRED's check was sent him Fed Ex PDQ. After FRED got his money, the suit against Proskauer was dropped and Pitney Bowes/Rochelle Cherry had to look like idiots over producing a memo using a client's employee's name and getting the client sued.
If you can get the client sued and still end up with the contract, you gots to be sleeping with the right people. |
