The temp sleeping and snoring on third shift at Debevoise, surprise surpise, apparently didn't get hired PERM as she thought. We last saw her butt ugly ass at Proskauer Rose trying out her butt sucking techniques on them.
You may not believe this, but I swear to God that it is the absolute truth.
Several of us temps were working at Debevoise on third shift including the above mentioned sleeper/snore-er.
Toward the end of our assignment, mostly around 6:00 am or 7:00 am, the Thang supervising the center would come around to us and say that things were slow so she would have to let US go early (instead of 8:00 am the normal end of the shift).
Now, normally this would not be that strange except that most of the time when she told us this, the guy sitting next to us was sleeping and snoring loudly and HE STAYED. We actually would pass by the guy sleeping and snoring on our way out. I guess Miss Thang's logic was that it was slow enough that we had to leave early, but not so slow that it was necessary to wake up the sleeper and tell him to go home.
Now, Miss Thang justified her actions by telling us that the guy sleeping and snoring was TEMP TO PERM and therefore that he had priority over us.
Why does it always seem to be that when you find temps getting paid to sleep in Word Processing Centers that they all turn out to work for the same temp agency?
Miss Thang commented once on our publishing a website on temping, she said: "What can you do with that?"
