According to rumor, Morgan Stanley just pulled a Pitney Bowes only without the Pitney Bowes. According to rumor, Morgan gave its "Creative Services Group" the choice of being temps with Tiger or being unemployed. Can you say WIPE OUT!
I don't get around as much as I used to so I was somewhat surprised that Tiger Info is trying to become an outsourcer like Pitney Bowes and Bowne. Although years and years ago, there was a story that Tiger had Goldman Sach's center outsourced to it. The claim now is that Bowne has Goldman Sach Centers everywhere EXCEPT for NYC.
There seems to be some question as to whether Wall Street Services was or was not big at Morgan Stanley, but it seems very very clear that Wall Street Services is NOT big at Morgan Stanley Now.
Morgan Stanley is not just your average Investment Bank (and Tiger is not just a run of the mill temp agency). If someone at Morgan Stanley has concluded that it is just not economical to have employees in the WP Center, then this could be the start of a wave of Investment Banks outsourcing WP Centers.
The only possible bar to a wave of investment banks outsourcing their WP Centers, is that most of these IBanks may be left with no minority Managers (since most of the IBanks only seem to have minorities with supervisory titles in their WP Centers and other SUPPORT functions). |
